Am I eligible for NET’s free training courses?
If you’re aged 19 or over, have lived in the UK for the past 3 years, you’re likely eligible.
Courses are free for both individuals and SME employers – subject to basic criteria.
You must meet the following criteria to be eligible for free training:
- Be aged 19 or over
- Live or work in Hull or the East Riding of Yorkshire
- If you work in Hull or the East Riding your employer MUST be a SME (small to medium enterprise, employ fewer than 250 full-time employees)
- Have the legal right to live and work in the UK (learners maybe asked to provide further evidence/documentation)

Where are courses held?
Courses run from across Hull, Bridlington, Scarborough and the East Riding. Some courses also have limited online or evening options for added flexibility.
How long are the courses?
Most courses are short and focused – typically 1 to 3 days long – designed to deliver real results quickly without disrupting your life or work.
What qualifications will I gain?
Each course offers a recognised qualification – including certifications from NEBOSH, IOSH, NCFE and more – valuable for CVs, compliance or career change.
Can employers refer staff or teams?
Yes! SME employers can refer individual employees or teams to join NET training, with all costs covered by UKSPF funding.
